Skoda Superbs seem to be fetching around £3.5k for a 2004 car. AFAICS that's around about 00/01 Passat money. Given that they tend to be kitted with just about everything, that's tempting.

and if you want i've got a nice 01 plate octy here you can have for 500 :)
albeit it does have 400k miles on it
What engine?
SDI ?
I'll put myself 2nd in the queue after the Skinny one if that's ok.
P.S. I'm local too.
Having been in a couple of high mileage Octavia minicabs recently [1], one of which pretty much needed every piece of interior trim replacing, including the headlining, I'd say that's worth scrap value only.
[1] But under 250k miles.
What a well thought, and therefore highly accurate, valuation you have given there Mr H.
And you check out how many miles a cab has done when you get in it? That's ever so slightly sad!
Tempting, in what way?
pfft no
1.9 tdi thank you very much
In the same as a Passat but half the price kind of way. Not exactly inspiring but it'd do me fine for my work / commuting mileage.
In which case you definitely have a buyer if Doug or someone else hasn't already.
Heh, much as I think I do, I dont actually need a diesel Skoda.
I'm out of the running.
I don't really need one, but it doesn't stop me being tempted.
Which is kinda how I ended up with two Xantia Activas and a Mk2 Golf GTI......
Peter
Pah! That's not how you do it.
'I can't see a business here, I'm not spending 500 pounds of my childrens' inheritance on this. Ahhhhhhm ooooot'
