At that price it has to be a dog surely? I don't think I'd bid on it going by the photos because they were taken in summer but no saying which year.

The seller is called The MODMAN.

I am very tempted. I think it's not too far away from JackH to send him over to check it out, too....

But I think Mrs H would kill me.

Where's the downside?

(Oh, and feel free to leave it to me in your will)

About 45 miles, so not exactly on the doorstep, but not out of the question.

Oh I dunno... depends what else you hang on to really.

I have to say I do like that... and I'm normally not that interested in s**te old eytie rubbish.

I've emailed him for more and higher-resolution pictures and an MOT certificate number so I can check out the advisory history.

You'd be gutted if you bent it?

That's the best I can do, sorry.

Same here, I like that and usually aren't interested in that kinda thing either. It looks mean though - would be cool if you could track it, is that possible? I have no idea how reliable such things are, or if it's even something that you'd want to track. Those alloy panels, would they be rust proof or are they just for the weight savings? The seller appears to be a bit of a tart mind you heh :-)

Couple of problems with track use...

As standard (dunno about one with 'lightweight' panels) they top out at about 95mph and have a 0-60 time of around 18 seconds.

Secondly, despite what you may guess, they're FWD.

Pretty, though.

Certainly wouldn't track it - even if the performance was up to scratch, because it would break my heart to bend it.

I'd have put money on it that it was RWD, it just looks RWD doesn't it? Although I didn't think it would be hugely fast although I was thinking like, 130bhp, 0-60 in high single figures. It looks fast heh.

Understandable. Still, despite that impressive swing and miss from me about the cars performance, I was right about the seller :-)

FWD? WTF was they thinking?

It's a Lancia thing.

"Vamp" gurgled happily, sounding much like they were saying:

Don't forget that it's only very recently that RWD has been "good". FWD spent a long while being the better-handling, better-gripping, technologically advanced way to do it.

Lancia were always technical innovators - monocoques in the 1920s...
