Due care and attention? I suppose it depends on how bored they are, and how obvious it is that you're having fun as opposed to losing control of the car.

A friend of mine has had a telling off for it before in Winchester in a 106, but nothing more, and if I know him he would have been going far to fast and be stupidly out of shape! If one wheel isnt gripping the road cant you be done for due care and attention as you're seen to not have control over the car? Or something like that. As Richard says it probably depends on how bored they are.
Same as they could for anything that looks fun, without due car and attention.
Ya, boredom may cause a part of it.
Big grins help!
I love the expression, "do you know why we pulled you over, sir?"
One must not respond, "slight drift, engage third, maximum power, understeer" I suppose...
So big smiles all around! ;)
Or, "Well that depends, just how long have you been following me?" , "Is it the big wiggle when I landed?" , "Because your colleagues in the T5 I passed earlier couldn't keep up."
It's class, that, ain't it? ;-)
I have to admit, I do like the way they phrase that.
I bet they'd be really deflated if a driver said "Yeah , I was driving like a complete numpty" and accurately described what they'd done wrong. Followed by a resigned and slightly ashamed droop of the shoulders. ;-)
That might be a little more honesty than would be favourable!
An Ali G "is it because I is black?" impersonation wouldn't go down too well either.
If it was deliberate, I dunno, but correct response to the question e.g. "please tell me what happened to my car" ought to sort that out.
I can't see it going to court if you just lost control, e.g. "patch of oil?" type defence.
Even if you were hotdogging. Which, well, let's be honest... ;)
I dunno. I've been followed by CID when I was in the Supra doing 110. Not only was I not pulled, they were clearly having fun before they peeled off to take another route through town (where I was clearly intending to only do 30, and the large group of marked cars had been waiting to catch up with the same miscreant who had presumably, taken the same back-route through the town).
I know they were CID because it turns out said driver knew vaguely who I was (private plates will do that).

Had a very very high speed incident with an unmarked octavia , suffice to say we doubled the speed limits on single and dual carriageway roads, initially I was just making good progress but felt like we were getting pushed faster so we upped the pace.
Nothing /quite/ like the feeling of having a skoda pass you at est. 140mph then flash blues at you at the next roundabout...
