Got a new gearbox and clutch all fitted for =A3475. Got the box from roverbreakers in Cheshire - all his engines and boxes are from Rover testbeds so are low mileage. The new box certainly feels better and is a hell of a lot quieter than the original one, even when I first took on the car, what, almost exactly a year ago? The mechanic kindly filled it up with top spec synthetic oil too, which adds to the nicenes.

I really hope nothing else goes pop now, for at least 8 months (going travelling). I'll need to get the expansion cap sorted next. Where the hell do I get one from what there being no such thing as Rover anymore?

Glad to have it back - the Suzuki Swift, good as it is for =A395, is quite a step down from the TI comfort and effortless pace.

Rover dealerships - or ex Rover dealerships. There's shitloads of parts stock still available.

------------------------------------------------- What sort of Swift was it and what you doing with it now?

Because one is never enough. :-)

Nope, just after some working boot struts if its getting scrapped :)

No way is it getting scrapped! It's a cracking little car! It's a MK1 (guessing) I've never seen this shape of Swift before.
