Re: Peugeot 207 Sport Mini Review

It keeps us off the streets hehe. You're ok with using tapwater around here because the water is very soft - and as long as you dry it off with detailer you get all the residue off. Rain water can be dodgy because it's not unknown round here for it to have sand in because we're right near the seaside. Walking out to your car after that kind of rain is just depressing...

I never liked Super Resin Polish on black cars, or dark cars for that matter. It tends to leave marks. Works well on lighter colours, and hides a lot of swirls...

Fair enuf, who's map was it ? The new owner of my old Bowel-Motion is looking at re-maps and trying to find the best bang for his buck, would have been nice to "try before you buy"

It's a GIAC map - they're not cheap (1).

Seems to drive as smoothly as it did pre-map, but a definite improvement in poke when you do floor it.

I can't really comment on the economy side of things, as the novelty of flooring it hasn't worn off just yet. ;-)

(1) Well, they're not cheap if your vehicle isn't classed as a 'company demo' ;-)

Ah spoke to them at the Autosport show.

They spoke to us about that too, as you say, not cheap.

Well... I've not had any other maps on it to be able to say 'this one is bestest', bar the factory standard one.

It has however impressed me so far - haven't detected any iffy idling or anything like that as of yet, it just has plenty more power when you do bury your foot. :-)

Have you thought about moving somewhere with less pikey water ? The water in my area is softer and cleaner than rainwater. There's no limestone or flouride in it either ;)

Yes actually I have. My house is paid for and detached and 5 bedrooms. That would buy me a purpose built 25 room hotel with large pool/bar etc and a huge car park in Thailand. Several friends already have done this. I may be next. I get paid in dollars so my income would go approx 5 times further as well...

As for rainwater having sand in it - well it often has. And other crap from the roof. In my barrels the sand/silt etc just sinks to the bottom since solids are heavy. Any lighter than water stuff floats at the top and gets flushed out via the overflow when it rains heavy. The water I get out is clean clear, and dries without leaving any residues at all. I have no idea what the water in thailand is like but everythings so cheap that I may just use distilled...
