Cash is normally a crowd pleaser. ;-)
I've paid for something that was 'a bit dear' in the past with some cash and some bankers draft - so long as you turn up during office hours, the seller can ring the number on the back of the draft to verify with your bank that it's genuine.

Going by recent other purchases within the group, that narrows it down to either a Jap hairdressers special or an inanimate object such as a SO Range Rover...
