I've acquired a mid 13 second naturally aspirated '85 from a friend in need. The car had been built from an automatic 4 banger so the chassis is solid and stress free. In an earlier post I had asked about subframe connectors and after some research I'm confident that I am tracking there.
Now to solve the brake issue. '85 GT brakes are piss poor by modern standards so they have to go. This is especially true given the amount of power the car has (estimated 385). I'm a firm believer that "stock rocks" so I'm thinking of going an upgrade to late model Cobra brakes, specifically the 13" fronts. The research I've done makes it look fairly straight forward and reasonably priced.
I'd just like to know if anyone in here has done the particular upgrade on a pre 86 Stang?
