97 4.6L if the heater core leaks, will it drain to the outside?

Yes, when mine went it leaked out from a tube below the hoses. Some of it leaked under the passenger side carpet. It's a PITA fix. Sucks.
Dealer/service did mine,twice. I do know the whole dash needs to come out and it's an eight hour job.
