Happy Birthday, Frog

Aug 28, 2008 32 Replies

Comcast is dumping newsgroups, so I thought I'd reply to you using my standby Teranews account. That was a couple of days ago, and it seems that my Teranews posts are wandering off into the ether somewhere, but not here.

Bottom line, I'll happily try out the Turtle Wax Ice on Jean's Escape. It would have to be fan-stinkin'-tastic to get me away from Mother's carnuba with the Frogs.

But I'm all for saving time and energy, two things in short supply these days.

Thanks.

Wow! Nice of them to notify people. Looks like I have till Oct.

Tell me about it. I found out while reading rec.gardens. Comcast never said a word.

This is a PITA, I've always had access through my IPs since 99. I never thought about this till now and looks like I may need to fork out another monthly bill.

Motzarella.org - free newsgroup access just for registering. No need to pay another monthly bill.

I'm taking it for a test drive now, but so far so good.

Oh, matzarella.ORG!? I thought you where making some kind of inside joke about rubbing it on the frog lol Thanks! I'll check it out.

Seems to be working here too. Thanks again.

Just passing it along... Now if I could find somewhere to get broadband internet access and 300 television channels for free, I'd be in Fat City.

Tera news, eeesh. You'd do better with AIOE or Individual and they are free. The AIOE server is a hobby for Paolo, but he does an excellent job. He even blocks the majority of spam from groupers and such. I'm sure I could also get Geoff to make you a bargain deal on the server that I use at Glorb.

Thanks, I'm good now. Still don't understand, though - Teranews never let me down before. Now that I'm going to need it, it's not working at all. Go figure.

Not unless you have a nice neighbor to let you hitch a ride on their wireless ;) Then for the TV you can get plenty of it from hulu.com I've been watching Alias Smith And Jones One of the best Cowboy Western series EVAR! IMHO

Peter Deuel was an excellent actor who decided he'd had enough. He was also a budding Formula Ford racer in the late 1960s, receiving moral suport from Steve McQueen and Dick Smothers, among others:

I didn't know any of that. But even at eleven years of age at the time he shot himself, I do remember how disappointed I was, and the show never seamed as good to me.
