Hey Group:
I've got a 93' 4 banger with an A4LD...the tranny want's to hunt...going down a grade with no load on the motor tranny will shift into drive and then od...but once the car is level and there's a load on the motor the tranny will upshift to drive or second from od...or if it wasn't in od it will go from drive to second...any idea's.. I appricate any advice on this matter...Merry Christmas....
Merle, trade it in on a V8. You'll be much happier. ;)

Sounds like you're going to have to rebuild the tranny to get it road ready. Maybe you can find another one in a junk yard, but almost any '93 you find will be ready for a rebuild anyway...

Don't know too much about the innards of an automatic tranny, so I can't really help you. What's the fluid look like - is it ok? Have you changed the filter and fluid? Whatever you do, don't take it to AAMCO. ;)
