I heard a rumour that they were going to do another remake of "Vanishing Point." The original is a work of ART. Perfectly captures the era. The disgusting remake they did in 1997 with that anti-American idiot, Viggo Mortensen was a watered-down, POS. The timid network just couldn't have a driver breaking the law, going all out to California...for nothing! So they put in some slop about him rushing to see his sick wife in the hospital!!! Even the chase/action scenes were worthless. If Jerry Bruckheimer does this, I hope to GOD it doesn't end up like the remake of "Gone in 60 Seconds."
