Oil companies, doing there part in the bad economy

You know how when there is a drop in oil prices, the oil companies tell you, "It takes a couple months for the change to "trickle down" to the consumer level?"

Well, the stock market rallied Thursday sending oil up about $6/ barrel. 6 HOURS later, the pump price rose almost $0.22 per gallon. Way to go, Exxon, Shell, etc. Thanks for all your help in this time of need.

not so. Gasoline cost more in warmer weather because it is mixed differently, cost more in Summer, less in winter. So gas prices will go up about another 40 cents even if Oil prices stay the same Forget the news, they cant remember past one week.

Fuel is oxygenated for two or three months in the winter, and cost about

2-3 cents per gallon.

I must concur with the original poster, that the prices quickly jaunt up at the drop of a hat, but when the bottom drops out of a barrel of petrol, it suddenly turns into molasses. Who's running this thing? Bernie Made-Off?

around here, gas prices go WAY up almost every Thursday for no apparent reason other than the up coming weekend and slowly start coming back down Sunday night...
