Question about older Mustang

I saw an older Mustang (1970?) at a car show on the weekend. It said California Special. What was different about it?

Here's something I posted about three years ago. Had to do a little editing. BTW, that would be a 1968 you saw.

"The GT/CS were assembled at the San Jose plant beginning around the third week of February 1968 and ending around mid July. There were approximately 4025 cars produced and available only in hardtops. Out of the 4025 California Specials produced, 250 were to become High Country Specials which were a spin-off of the California Special sold in the Colorado dealerships. The base model came with a standard six cylinder engine, but most Mustang options were available.

Highlights of the C/S:

1)Shelby style fiberglass rear fender caps and deck lid. 2)Fibreglass rear panal with Shelby style non-sequential taillights. 3)pop-open gas cap. 4)Mustang script added to the upper right corner of rear deck lid. 5)California Special script logo on rear fenders. 6)Modified Shelby side scoop (non functional) located on rear quarters. 7)Deletion of Tri-bar running horse emblem to front fender. 8)Special stripe on deck lid and quarter panal caps. 9)Side stripes from leading edge of front fenders to rear edge of side scoops with GT/CS lettering cut out of the stripe on the side scoops. 10)Blacked out grille with chrome horse and corral deleted. 11)Marchal or Lucas fog lamps depending on production date. 12)Louvered hood with inset turn signals and twist type hood locks.

Because of slow sales, about 2900 cars were destined for the Los Angeles (DSO

71) and San Jose (DSO 72) districts. The remainder of these cars were made available throughout western states and as far east as Dallas, Kansas City and Oklahoma City."

Here's a shot of a C/S taken last May at the All Ford Nationals in Carlisle:
