Spark Plug Question

Hi All,

Shopping for my 85 GT...........need plugs............I need to know though what the difference is between the following:

Standard and Resistor plug???

Blister or boxed package??

Kinda wondering what the difference is. Thinking of going with Accel v groove plus.........heard good things........any other suggestions??

Thanks all!

Resistor plugs have a radio noise suppression resistor built into them. Most spark plugs sold today arre resistor types.

I'm still chuckling over this part.... blister packs are when the product or multiples are afixed to cardstock and covered in a plastic cocoon. so that you can see the product. Boxed parts are... well, they're bxed...

There are no "trick" plugs...

Steph opined in news:csoi7l$60r$ snipped-for-privacy@dns3.cae.ca:

Get the resistor plug specified for the car, use Motorcraft or Auto-Lite.

Stay away from aftermarket "better" plugs.. especially Bosch and Splitfire..

Champion makes good plugs... for Lawn Mowers.

Make sure they are properly gapped.

Boxed you get at the auto parts store. Blister packs usually come from some place like Wal-Mart, cost less, look the same, but are "seconds" that didn't make the top cut for whatever reason.

Really?? What makes you think/believe that because they are in a blister pack they are seconds. I'd suggest that they are in blister pack because they are being marketed to DIYers.

Indeed.... many suppliers offer several packaging options. Bulk pack, convenience pack, pretty pack.... all the same stuff. Big box stores work on the premise that we will go in for one item and come out with several. The amount of psychological planning that goes into some store layouts is astounding.
