Subframes?

Skip bolt-ons; get weld-ons.

I don't think you will get any positive responses about "bolt-on" subframes. Probably why they now come as "weld-on".

I was wondering if people found that bolt-ons weren't worth it. Thanks.

Amy, Weld ons are the only wat to go.

If you take it to a ody shop and have them weld them on, it should only cost you one hour at their labor rate. Be sure your Mustang is stitting on all four wheels when they weld them on.

I'm looking for subframes too. Skip the bolt-ons.

I do have another question.. Should I get "Full length" sub frames or regular length sub frames. Full length go from the torque box to the fire wall, but they are thinner.

When I did my 98 I got the Steeda and I loved them. I used their Tri Ax and their Strut tower brace too. Why not go with a company that you know, right?

I say go quality if means an extra $50 or so. You can watch places like Ebay but do your bargain shopping too because Ebay isn't always the cheapest.

The only people I know who have the bolt on subframe connectors are convertable owners. They come stock, and are generally ridiculed as a joke. Welded ones are much better. If you're in So. California, I can recommend a few places for the work.

Unfortunately, no. I am in St. Louis, so if anyone has any recommendations for people here that would do a good job (i.e., not burn holes in the interior rug), I'd be interested in hearing about them.

I just did my '72 mach 1. I used 1"x 2" rectangular carbon steel tubes from the torque box to the rear frames. That cost me $30 vs. the $149.00 plus shipping that it would have cost me to buy pre-made ones.
