Sounds like crap to me..
Real soft Rubber? :)
How does the car drive.? Normal driving?
Wear even of edges, middle etc??? What is the wear index of the tires you're using?
Ask the alignment guy to give you a little toe-in on the front alignment.
Michael.
What is the treadwear rating? Soft tires won't last very long at all.
That does sound like an alignment issue but many sports cars have negative camber which can do this with soft tires fairly quickly.
You have the feathering issue.

its an aligment problem from the dealer, front tire noise 7 they waer fast , iots a bug Nissan is working on, I also have an 03 track model.
I also have the 03 track model with the premature tire wear (cupping)... However, talked to some tire experts from different places. They recommended the Eage F1 D3 tires. Ever since the change, i haven't notice any premature wear or excessive noice (cause of tire wear). And those tires grip a lot harder than the bridgestone re40 (sucks!!!) Anyone else share my experience?
Not with this car but with others. Seen models of Hondas that had strange tire wear patterns with OE tires but once they were replaced, never reoccured.
My dealer has replaced my tires fre of charge and according to them, the factory front alignment specs have been changed to resolve the issue. Time will tell.....
When I asked about the tire wear issue at my dealer about 6 weeks ago, what he said was that the alignment specs were going to be changed to alleviate the problem.
So, I concur, time will tell.
