93 Sentra timing chain cover

Feb 12, 2005 3 Replies

I have a chance to buy a 93 Sentra XE that has a bad oil leak in the timing chain cover. I'm thinking the chain is bad and wore a hole in the cover. Do I have to pull the motor to fix it or can I just drop it down a little? Do I need any special tools? If the chain is bad, what else needs changed?

Thanks, Chris

Can you drop the front of the motor down just a little and get to it through the wheel well?
