Nissan comments on Titan pricing

DETROIT, Michigan,: Nissan says its first full-size pickup truck will significantly undercut the price of Big Three pick-ups when it goes on sale in December, in a niche that is still the preserve of the domestics.

Titan models will retail for up to 3,000 dollars less than a Ford F150 -- the market leader -- and as much as 4,000 dollars less than a comparable General Motors truck, Nissan said this week. ... ...... A basic Titan will retail for 22,400 dollars, while a fully equipped model will command a price tag of 34,200 dollars, Connelly said. The automaker is targeting sales of 100,000 units the first year.
