1993 altima mods question

hi, all if i was to do headers and a cat back on the altima. how much horse power would it addto the stock 150 horse power? also would this hurt my gas milage or help it out? thanks thehawk93

When doing this sort the thing to remember is that your cars engine is basically a big air pump. If more air can flow through quicker and easier, you will see a small power gain. Of course, when you put more air in you also put more fuel in, meaning that you lower your fuel economy.

The changes to both your power level and fuel mileage will both be minimal, but if you want that canon muffler sound and don;t want to wait years for the one on there now to rust off, you should feel free to modify your car.

If you are really interested in learning about how things like cold air intakes and cat back exhust systems affect cars, you should pick up some "tuner" magazines, I like "sport compact car" myself.
