I meant for the head & manifold bolts. The head bolts appear to be a Torx type and the manifold is a Hex bolt, I need to know the sizes.
Anyone?
Assuming that it is the same engine as the 1.9 DT 406 then that nice Mr Haynes only gives a size for the head bolts but I have included his comments on the manifolds:
Cylinder Head: T55
Inlet Manifold: Quote - "Using a suitable hexagon bit or allen key remove the bolts securing the inlet manifold. Loosen, but do not remove, the central hexagon manifold securing bolt - the manifold is slotted".
Exhaust manifold: Qoute - "unscrew the six manifold securing nuts and recover the spacers from the studs".
Don't know if that helps?
Whooops, must of missed that bit in the manual... Guess I will have to speak to the dealer about the manifold bolts to see if they can give me the sizes. Thanks for the reply.
In fact, come to think of it, I could probably remove the head with the inlet manifold still attached and just remove the exhaust manifold. This way I wouldn't have to bother with the hex bolts on the inlet side.
It is easier from what I remember to take the inlet off, which has
13mm nuts or bolts, and then remove the exhaust from the head. It's also easier to get at the turbo feed pipe on top of the turbo. On some engines a couple of the fixings for the inlet are allen key, 6mm I believe.MotorsForum website is not affiliated with any of the manufacturers or service providers discussed here.
