306TD Repairing Air Con pipes

Has anyone ever repaired the aluminium air con pipes that run across the bottom of the car near the radiator? Mine have corroded where they pass through the clips - I believe this is a common problem. A whole new pipe (the long one) costs around £70. Cutting out the corroded section and replacing might be cheaper!

I'm in Gloucester UK. I'll see if I can find and air con specialist.

Are Mitchells down the Bristol Road still going? They might be worth trying.

Unfortunately it's expensive whichever way you look at it. I decided to wind the window down rather than spend the 200 quid it would cost for even the cheaper parts. That was for replacing the whole lot after the parts guys at Pug told me that after the rad one at the front goes the others aren't far behind. Lots of cars also had them done in the warranty period - so I guess 5 years out of mine (S reg) wasn't too bad.

I have not decided what to do yet - leaving it broken and winding the window down is definitely an option.

Yes they are, but without pressing them they only recommended that I obtain the original Peugeot part and either fit it myself or get them to fit it. I'll speak to them again.
