I had the front discs & pads changed on my 406 at the week-end. I have now noticed that when I press the brake pedal I get static interference/white noise on my radio.
I never noticed this before the brake bits were replaced.
Any ideas ?

Sounds like the wire for the brake pad warning light may be touching something, maybe the inside of one of the wheels,
