Does any body know how to remove the frount grille (bit with lion) on the
306?

You have to pull the lion emblem out first to expose a torx head screw. The emblem is clipped in and it's quite likely the tabs on an old emblem will end up breaking. Then there are a couple more obvious screws retaining the grille at the top (I think!)
