99 sunfire gt (drl)

My daytime running lights stopped working today and and when i restarted the car the drl indicator flashed several times then quit. I tried my high and low beams in normal driving mode and they are working fine, now the indicator is no longer comming on and instead im getting the high beam indicator illuminated. Does this sound like the drl relay is pouched and needs to be replaced, can i replace this myself, i looked at manual and seen there is a relay in the fuse panel. any help would be appreciated.
