Ingnition Control Modules 2.3 Quad 4

Hey all I keep cooking ignition control modules on my 91 GA 2.3 quad 4. It will run for a while and then die. Any ideas where to start looking for the problems? Steve

Unfortunately, there is no good way to check the coils. They / one may be breaking down at high temp and high voltage. YOu could try measuring the ohms... 1 to 9 ohms and 5k ohms, iirc but that won't tell you much.

Sounds like the ign.mod could be bad or the wires to it are bad somewhere. A bad coil will blow the ign.mod in no time at tall. This is a tough one to diagnose from a distance. Paul.

Hey I finally got it to run and its been idling for the better part of an hour now. I got mad at the wire harness and ripped out the POS wire of the IGN module. I found a chaffed spot on the wire where bare copper was exposed. Its now running in the garage(door open). This only cost me about
