My car suddenly refused to accelerate normally and gear shifting was very erratic. Max speed at full throttle in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd gear was about 30 mph. Problem was isolated to a collapsed catalitic converter. That kept 3 of the 6 cylinders from performing properly thus the power loss.
