Any one have any good suggestions on what to use to break the rust loose from my manifold heat valve. Have been squirting all kinds of rust breakers on it for the last month and a half. Doesn't move. Am afraid to hit it hard with a hammer as could break the shaft. Is rusted in the open position. Now colder than you know what here in Wash. state and am having a heck of a time starting the car. Has a R4413S Carter carb on it. '67 Pontiac Grand Prix 400 Any suggestions would be appreciated. snipped-for-privacy@charter.net Lou Sheeley

Have you been using PB Blaster? Thats the best stuff on the retail market.
If that doesn't work, use a torch on the stuck bolt/nut and then immediately spray ice cold water just on the bolt/nut and it should come out then.
