What happens (and how do you correct) an R134 system that has been filled with R12? Thanks to the local mechanic, the a/c on my fiancee's car is now not working.

Find a "good" mechanic and then go to small claims court.
Meat clever men are capable of all.
I bet instead of buying the fittings, he spliced some hoses.
