Quote -> " The study relied on J.D. Power and Associates' popular quality studies for the U.S. market. Mr. Girsky said only four brands have undeservedly high quality reputations: GM's Pontiac, Chevrolet and Saturn; and Chrysler's Dodge brand."

So, it's pretty much Ford and Chrysler and some smaller once that are underrated. And that would even out the undeserved high perception for Chevy and the others.

Quote -> "Mr. Girsky said misperceptions over quality could be a significant "market share risk" to the performance of some future hot sellers offered in the United States. When asked about Mercedes-Benz for example, Mr. Girsky pointed to its inflated reputation for quality as a reason for caution among investors."

Mercedes Benz is owned by Daimler-Chrysler and used to be a very good quality. I still believe they make good cars, but not as good as they used to. It will just take some time until the market share reflects that change.

Quote -> "Despite their perennial industry-leading quality scores in J.D. Power and Associates surveys, Toyota and Lexus still do not get the respect they deserve."

That's half the foreign cars!! This is just another stinking J.D. Power and Associates survey, and they might as well have come up with the opposite conclusion based on the same numbers. They probably called 1500 people at random and that's what the conclusion is based on.
