Ah! We have a volunteer for the CO[2] is harmless test.

no, YOU volunteered for the "let's throw out ridiculous extremes and consider them to be the norm" stupidity test.

Sharing a thought and some facts with CO2 fans - Maybe it is time to examine the AlGore theory that 'the sky is falling'. He said it with such conviction that he did, after all, get a Nobel Prize.

Lets begin - Before the Europeans became Colonial Powers, they were explorers, and among their discoveries was that some European plants and domestic animals prospered in the newly discovered lands; but others did not.

In order to open the discovered lands to emigration, they first had to open them to Agriculture. This led promptly to studies of Climate, and standardization of Weather Stations and measurement of Weather Data, both at home and abroad. One of these standardized data sets was the PAN EVAPORATION RATE - simply, the amount of FRESH WATER (the kind livestock drink) that evaporates in exactly 24 hours. A standard size open PAN re-filled each morning to a standard depth, (after recoding the drop in water depth from the preceding morning) has provided us with a World-Wide record since the 1500's, recording how water evaporates, for nearly every nation and continent.

You may now Google for the Pan Evaporation Rate ...

Until the 1960's, that rate remained quite stable; then it began to decline in equatorial regions, coincident with declines in Arctic ice thickness and increasing temperature in Equatorial Regions. During the US ban on Air travel in effect after the Twin Towers were destroyed, the Pan Rate returned to its historic (pre 1960) average.

Has anyone an idea how stopping Global Jet flights accomplished that? Pity that neither AlGore nor the Nobel committee never studied that effect.

HINT #1 - It is the lower-atmosphere water vapor that retains and distributes Heat around the Globe, (many times better than Co2) and if the Atmosphere is carrying less water, then less heat would be removed from the Equator and less water vapor would reach the thinning Polar Glaciers. HINT #2 -What effect does UV radiation have on water molecules trying to break the surface tension and escape to the lower Atmosphere Ans - accelerates evaporation WITH LITTLE INCREASE in water temperature Hint #3 - What is the main by-product of burning Jet Fuel in the Upper Atmosphere? Ans - water vapor, which does NOT normally reach there, and it flash-freezes into tiny ice crystals. HINT #4 - What effect do upper atmospheric ice crystals have on UV radiation reaching the ocean Surface? Ans - reflects UV into space HINT #5 - What is a surfactant, and what effect does it have on the surface tension of water and ice? Ans - reduces surface tension and breaks up ice crystals.

Has anyone been putting surfactants into Jet Fuels? Well, the Global temperature has been reducing since the 911 attack - in case you have not noticed...
