Hiya everyone, I just wondered if someone out there might have a clue as to how I can get my car's interior fan to work all the time and not just when the car feels like it. Also the interior light works for every door except the driver's. I know these things might seem picky but they are annoying. Any help would be appreciated.

Most likely the door switches (the ones by the locks at the rear on the piller) they switch the Multi function unit which controls the light delay etc , and if they are anything like mine every one was knacked! (1996 418sld turbo tourer), replaced one £5.00 IIRC and stripped down and cleaned the rest, the spring loaded contact plate appears to get gunged up with dirt and corrosion. I am led to believe by a friend who is a rover agent that they are very common to fail, and can also upset the alarm system.
Simple to change, one phillips screw and and pull off a spade connector.
