'98 420 SLDT Air Con

Hi,

Just had the aircon re-gassed and checked etc. Still not working because the mechanic said there is no feed to the compressor.

Haynes manual does not have a wiring diagram showing the aircon compressor and components.

Does anyone know where I can get such a diagram please, or are there any known common faults with this symptom.

Cheers all....

Most common fault with that system is the oil temp sender down the back left hand side of the engine its awkward to get to. if you follow the wire from the sender up the inner wing to the connector again bad to get at but disconnect the connector and short the two wires of the harness together. start up and switch air con on you will here the compressor cut in. I think sensors are about £25.00

Thanks for this... ..but if there was a problem with the oil temp sensor, wouldn't there be some other indication? Wouldn't the ECU indicate a problem like the engine warning light?

Cheers,

Thanks Rob. I will have a 'play' today.
