Metro Hydrogas suspension?

Hi, I am looking after my mates little Metro Kensington, its old, an F reg. The other day I came home to find it sat down on its rear arches, nose in the air. I had a wheel changed about a week ago, could they have nicked a pipe with the hydraulic jack and caused the gas to escape? Are there suspension specialists that will come out and fix this kind of problem on site? what are they called cos I cant find anything in the book?

thanks for any thought or suggestions Hotfoot

Hi My old metro used to suffer from the same thing mate. Dunno what the guarage was called but it was just up the street from me, in sheffield. They had this lil box that they connected to the nipple, and it had a crank handile to pump the fluid back in. It did work at getting it back up to the ride hight, but it didnt last. about 2 months later it needed doing again.

Id suggest getting your hands on a new subframe. there a peace of piss to fit. then you can work on it changing all the lines, and seals. eaven change the bearings, then just slap it on. Thats what I did. lasted longer than the car.

Regards Wombat.
