9-5 A/C Woes

1999 9-5 2.3L Turbo My left side driver airconditioning does not cool. The blower blows only hot air. The right side passenger and the center console vent both blow cooler air.

My Saab guy said that in the 99 model there is a manufacturer defect and some part had to be replaced under the left side of the car. He also said it would take 7-10 days. I am assuming that the cost was so high he wouldn't even mention it to keep me from fainting away on his property.

Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of a '99 factor defect' that falls in this description?

TIA

Yep, me. But you can solve it. I did it my self. Try to check the error code doing "off +auto".

First of all if its a manufactures defect saab has a good will warranty. If you call the 800 no in the back of your owners manual. Second Dont waste your time with the ac I have a 92 and I have spent thousands trying to keep it working. There always something wrong why its not cooling. I just gave up trying to get it fixed as they the cost is out of sight. I have had 2 new compressors not to mention replacing hoses sveral times, they always have bull shit reasons why its not working and it is always more money. best regards papa
