error code 420, 20009-5 wagon

I just bought a used 2000 9-5 wagon, after the first long drive we had an engine light icon show up on the dash. Diagnosis by the defaler was error message 420, what does this message mean?

In summary, the second lambda probe that is located after the catalyst is detecting that the catalyst is not performing as well as it should (worst case, your cat is shot and the car will fail its next emissions test but it could be much more trivial than that).
