Glove Box Light Repair

Jun 21, 2004 1 Replies
1997 Saab 900 SE Convertible. Glove box light won't come on. All others work fine. Bulb is OK. No voltage read from wires. Anybody have a wiring schematic for this car and circuit? Has both a black and green wire going to the bulb/switch assembly. So far, it's the only thing I can find wrong on my newly acquired Saab. Great cars!

Try checking the glove box light with the headlight switch in each position. The current source is different with each setting of that switch.

The Green wire should be hot at all times (+12v) referenced to a good ground. The black wire is switched to ground and should measure a low resistance to ground when the glove box is open (switch released). I have schematics but they are not easy to send.
