Can anyone share a link or detailed instructions on how to replace the 02 sensor in a NG900 ('97 900SE)? Will I need to see a "dealer" to reset any codes/check engine light? And what are the costs for a beginner DIYer (dealer wants $292 for sensor plus labor)? TIA.
What engine? The I4 has 2 02 sensors, the V6 has 4. Do you have a code? Generic sensors can be had for about $55.00 US. You will have to splice the wiring. Made-to-fit sensors with the proper plug are about $100 more.
You can disconnect the battery to reset the MIL, just be sure to have your radio code handy. Conversely, you can find and pull the fuse for the ECU to reset.
