[Saab_c900] size/pitch of wheel nuts?

Hi everyone,

I've got a simple one for you - what is the correct size and pitch of Saab C900 wheel nuts?

For want of a second opinion I think they're M12 (ie. 12 mm) with a pitch that is either 1.5 mm or 1.25 mm. Checking on Ebay shows that almost all of the 12 mm lugnuts available (esp. the mag-style ones I'm looking for to secure the set of 'soccerball' wheels I bought recently) are 1.5 mm pitch, and if 1.25 mm pitch versions exist they are very rare.

Is anyone able to confirm what the correct thread pitch is?

Regards,

Craig.

Pretty sure I've got a metric thread gage and can check tonight, but - why not get a metric ruler, count ten threads, and see how far those ten threads are apart in distance? If it's 15mm, it's 1.5mm pitch. If it's

12.5mm, it's 1.25mm pitch. Count 20 threads and measure that for double-check. Sometimes the answers are right there in front of ya...

Thankyou for the wake-up call Dave. 8-) Seriously, I will check this out tomorrow (it's 9 pm now) and followup with the info. I didn't think to measure the thread on the studs. lol

Sounds good, because I can't find my metric thread gage. I know where it should be, and it's not in that drawer. I _hate_ that. Let us know what you find, I'm betting 1.5mm.

Well as luck would have it I found that a friend of mine had some spare M12 (1.5 mm pitch) mag-style lugnuts and they won't go on! I'm going outside now to remove one wheel off the parts car so I can measure along enough of the thread to get a definitive result, but it looks like 1.25 mm pitch is going to be correct.

If anyone's able to confirm or deny in the meantime, feel free! I don't have a thread pitch gauge handy.
