Xenon package 'after sales' on a 2003 9-3 SS

Hi all, Has anyone any experience with exchanging the standard halogen lights with xenon on a new 9-3 sport sedan 'after sales'?

I purchased a 9-3 Aero intended for the Swedish market in the Netherlands. After delivery of the car it appeared that in Sweden the xenon package is not "standard" on the Aero, but in the Netherlands it was, at least for the

2003 modelyear. The dealer intended to replace the lights after delivery of the car, but there seem to be some problems. One of the main problems, besides the exchange of many parts, is that the board computer will report breakdown of the lights because the xenon lights only use some 35 watts instead of the 55watts halogen bulbs use.

The dealer offers a refund, but I would prefer to have the xenon lights installed. Any advice/experience would be appreciated...

Be sure you get the correct legal installation! This means auto-levelling of the headlights, through measuring the height difference between the two axels (front/rear). To mount the package afterwards is some (expensive) job...

Cheers!
