The first windshield I replaced was an insurance job so I did not question the close to C$400. price. Since our car is now old enough that it is not cost effective to insure, I am a lot more careful about the price of the windshield that I now need to replace at my expense. I phoned several shops yesterday and the first quoted C$242. for tinted and ~C$270. for shaded top strip. The second shop quoted C$235. for shaded PPG (top quality) glass and ~C$270. for light tinted. All prices installed but may require new trim piece @ $9 extra. Sales tax not included.
