I have to have a proof of insurance for a 96 SL1 to give to my insurance agency. I have it ABS but I don't have any documented proof. (This is about the best I can do. How about taking the car in to your local insurance agent and showing him the ABS button on the dash, and the ABS unit under the hood.

Insurance companies get those details about your car from your VIN number. If they have your VIN number, then they can see that you have ABS.

Go to your local Dealer and have them write a statement that you car either has or doesn't have ABS...
Then turn in the Dealers statement. This shoul dbe proof enough for them.
