Price cuts of $37 to $287 on most cars in the 1955 Studebaker line were announced yesterday by the Studebaker-Packard Corporation.
The cars are to go on display in dealer showrooms throughout the metropolitan area October 15th. City-delivered prices will be given out then. The reductions affect twenty of the twenty-four body styles.

The President state sedan has gold plate on door handles and other metal trim throughout the interior as well as similar treatment on the lower half of the hood ornament.
James J. Nance, president of the corporation, said engines in the President models have four barrel carburetors. Two barrels are cut in simply by depressing the accelerator pedal. This is said to provide an additional surge of power for a fast standing start or for passing at higher speed.
Tubeless tires are standard equipment on all of the cars. Conventional tires with tubes can be obtained on special order. Optional at extra cost on all models are automatic transmission, power brakes and padded instrument panel....
