289 V8 Oil Pressure Update

Hi Guys, well for those who inquired, this is the readings I got using an new, tested and accurate oil pressure gauge with the engine running at 180 degrees and with 15 W 40 in the crankcase:

600 RPM (idle) - 6 PSI 1500 RPM - 16 PSI 2000 RPM - 22 PSI 2500 RPM - 27 PSI 3000 RPM - 33 PSI

Now, if you figure that 3000 RPM would roughly equate to 80 MPH, you figure in real life I'd be running the engine between 2000 and 2500 RPM, which would mean I'd be averaging between 22 and 27 PSI. I suppose I coud run the engine on 20 W 50 weight or a straight 30 weight and get higher readings, and of course a 160 degree thermostat will help, but all in all, what are the thoughts out there??????????? Inquiring minds want to know :-)
