The right side brakes should be a mirror image of the left side. If one of those bars is missing, your parking brake will not work.

I am assembling the rear brakes and I think I might be missing a part. There is a bar that goes below the wheel cylinder that connects to the brake shoes. This bar is a fulcrum for the parking brake lever so that when the parking brake cable is pulled, the shoe will press against the drum. I thought that this system required one of these bars on each side. Can anyone confirm if I need 1 or 2 of these bars?
