The good and the bad...

Got home the other day and there was a message on my machine from an Avanti (around a '79 or 80 model) customer and chapter member. He wanted to thank me for getting the thing running and driving the way it should be. He hadn't driven it in a while but it fired right up and ran like the rocket it ran like when it left the shop months ago. I had also rebuilt the front end (and it was SHOT) and got the AC working along with fixing years of amateur stuff that was done before he bought it. So nice to hear from someone who is happy...you rarely hear the good..only the bad. I had just taken my latest purchase little bitty boat out for a 'shakedown' cruise on one of our many rivers and was in a great mood...the call made me feel even better.. Then my refrigerator (ten years old) blew it's compressor less than two days before Thanksgiving... Grrrrr....full of food... Coolers full of ice to save the important stuff until Friday when Sears delivers a new one and I recon it will be turkey sandwiches for Thanksgiving dinner... Anywhoo...happy Thanksgiving, all! George,

You know the old saying 'Bad news travels fast...'

Murphy's Law, and Klutkowski Luck are closely related!

That much we know...

Cheers,

George, gas up the boat and pick up the latest issue of the Wakulla Tattler Hogwash. Go for a nice cruise in the boat and you'll be feelin' great again soon enough.

BTW... had the new spindle (didn't remove the king pin) installed in the '58 in about 2-3 hours. Good to have my daily driver back.

The Tattler-Hogwash only comes out every other month..already used the last one to wrap mullet.... Kind cool today for a boat ride and I'm too stuffed to do anything other that lay around and belch... Studebaker George

"I'm too stuffed to do anything other that lay around and belch..."

How is that different than any other day?
