I have a problem with my 96 Outbac that comes and goes. Out of the blue the ABS light will go on, the heater fan will cut out, and---should I stop and put the car in park--the automatic transmission shifter will lock in place, (even with the foot on the brake). The sometimes cures are kicking my left foot against the wall below on and around the interior fuse box, or shuting the car off and restarting it (which mayl turn the ABS light off and turn the fan back on, but may still keep the shifter locked) or disconnecting the negative battery cable for a few moments. I cannot duplicate the conditions that lead to this odd occurence because I just don't know what they are. Does anyone have a clue as to cause, prevention and permanent cure? Thanks! Rich
