ABS light on, shorting Tc and E1

Go to a Toyota dealer.

E1 and T1 bridging gains you access to the ECU's fuel management failure codes. To my knowledge, there is no connection with the ABS box. A code 31 warns of a manifold vacuum sensor signal out of range and a code 26 is an air-fuel ratio running rich malfunction. Code 36 is a turbocharger sensor circuit. You have a turbo Camry? LOL The fuel mileage must be low. Hose left off MAP sensor?

I got ABS code 31 and 36. 31 means Front Right speed sensor. But the problem now is that I cannot get read the code again. The ABS light does not flash any more. Both the Airbag and Cruise Control lights are flashing. What is the problem?

I don't even have ABS, but saved a page from the factory manual describing a procedure that may help:

Diagnostic Trouble Code Clearing

Using diagnosis check wire: (a) connect service wire to terminals Tc and AB of the check connector

(b) Turn the ignition switch to ACC or ON and wait approx. 6 seconds.

(c) Starting with the terminal, apply body ground alternately to terminal Tc and terminal AB twice each in cycles of 1.0 +/- 0.5 seconds. (Confirm that body ground is absolute.) Finally keep applying body ground to terminal Tc.

HINT: When alternately grounding terminals Tc and AB, release ground from one terminal and immediately apply it to the other terminal. This action must be done within the time limits shown below. If you are not within the time limits, repeat the above procedure until you clear the codes.

(d) Several seconds after doing the clearing procedure, the SRS warning light will blink in a 50 m sec. cycle to indicate the codes have been cleared.

Sorry, don't know what they mean by a "50 m sec. cycle."

Thanks Daniel for your suggestion, but I think what you said is the way to reset the airbag.

I had a similar case with my 94 XLE Camry, disconnecting battery would clear ABS error code but ABS light stay on. I followed a test procedure from (Breaking Down ABS Service

"To start the built-in WSS diagnostic program, jump terminals Ts and E1 on DLC1 or DLC2. Engage the parking brake and start the engine. release the parking brake and drive the vehicle straight ahead on a level, smooth road at 2 to 4 mph. The warning light will turn off, then back on after a one-second delay. When the light comes on, accelerate above 4 mph. If the light flashes four times a second, the speed sensors are reading normally. If the light stays on without blinking, stop and read out the fault code."

You need to "remove the short pin jumper from DLC1 then connect a jumper wire between terminals Tc and E1 on DLC1 or DLC2. This should cause the ABS warning light to start flashing out any codes. If there are no codes, the light will flash continuously twice a second."
