fuel injector problem?

Jan 15, 2005 2 Replies

Put in new injectors on a high mileage legacy thinking it would help with recently declining gas mileage. Now it runs horribly, exhaust is white, lots of fuel vapor in it, with fuel dripping from the tailpipe... Put back the old injectors since it ran so much better, and now they show the same problems... Ideas?

Thanks!

coupla ideas to look at, temp sensor (not coolant temp sensor) or maybe a bad fuel regulator(is it on the end of a rail?)

maybe someone else will have a better idea.

My guess is a ruptured FPR. Should have a vacuum hose attached to it. Remove it and if gasoline flows from it, than the regulator is ruptured.
