Re: 1994 Legacy: value??

A 1994 legacy sells retail in NZ (New Zealand) for $5000 - $10000 NZD max with around 50,000km - 100,000km

So I don't think it would be worth a lot of money. This includes any models, GT, standard 2 litre, 2.5 250T and 2.2 litre GX (nz equiv of yours).

So, don't know if this is a help or not, but anyways....

Hi Matthew . . . yeah, I'm not expecting a lot from insurance. Just an idea so I'll know if I'll have any bargaining power or not when they come up with their offer.

Actually, I lived in NZ for five years (came back to Canada 2 years ago) and was surprised at the price difference between used Subarus there and in Canada. They are quite a bit more expensive here in general. Unfortunately, Canada doesn't get flooded with the used Japanese imports which have kept the prices down there in NZ. Finding a decent, used '94 Legacy model here (for a good price) is actually pretty tough.

Thanks for the reply and hope things are warming up for ya down there now. Scott

Look in the auto trader or want ads for prices. Value will not be high for a 10 year old car with that mileage ($1-3000 can)

Bummer.

Your car would probably be worth $1500 - $2000 US in this part of the country (Colorado). These numbers will vary a fair bit regionally, so your best bet, as someone has already suggested, will be to check local classified and/or dealerships. Pretty sure you can insist on actual replacement costs as far as your insurance coverage, especially if the other driver was at fault. Might be worth consulting an attorney if it looks like you are gonna get screwed.
