There is a Moly coating/paste that is used on cam lobs and valve mechanisms.

Well, I can only state what the service person (not salesman) told me. And after seeing what the oil looked like fresh, I can only state the I believe him. I use Castrol oil and it looks nothing like the oil I pulled from the engine. I reminded me of what 2-cycle oil for two stroke engines looked liked. Also, I was told Subaru added things to the oil not that the oil itself was different. The next time I go to MY dealer, not Subaru dealer that I got this info. from)I will inquire again. In the past I always changed my oil at the first 1000-1500 miles. As an experiment, I'll let this one go to 3000 miles. Ciao!
